CYBER SECURITY AND ADVANCED WATER TECHNOLOGY

In today's digital age, one of the largest threats facing our district is cyber security. Protecting our water infrastructure from cyber-attacks is paramount, as any breach could severely impact our ability to provide safe and reliable water to our community. It is crucial to have technological leaders, like myself, who understand the complexities of cyber security and can advocate for implementing robust defenses against these evolving threats.

Moreover, to enhance our water management capabilities, we need to adopt Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems. These systems allow for faster and more accurate meter readings, enabling us to detect issues such as leaks more quickly and run operations more efficiently. Efficiency that helps keep water rates low. By integrating forward-thinking smart technology, we can better monitor and manage our water resources, ultimately saving water and preserving it for future generations. Embracing these technological advancements will ensure that Vallecitos Water District remains at the forefront of innovation and security.
