Meet Director Erik A. Groset of VWD Division 4
Director Groset has been a dedicated and impactful water leader for the Vallecitos Water District Board of Directors, Division 4. During his 2-year appointed tenure, Erik has championed numerous initiatives to improve the district's services and financial health. He successfully kept water bills low while enhancing service levels, generating over $6 million in additional revenue ($1.5M in 2023, and $4.5M in 2024) through astute new investment strategies steered by the Financial Committee he sits on.
As a decades long resident of Carlsbad and customer of Vallecitos Water District, he's not only your neighbor and representative, he's a customer as well.
Erik helped advocate for the collaborative Helopod project with San Marcos City and CalFire, ensuring swift wildfire response, and advocated for opening the stunning South Lake San Marcos Park, transforming an old reservoir into a community landmark.
